WPTAmateurPokerLeague Data Breach (2013)

In the initial month of 2014, the WPT Amateur Poker League faced a significant security breach at the hands of hacker @smitt3nz, as announced on Twitter. This attack led to the public exposure of 175,000 user accounts, with 148,000 of these being email addresses. Alarmingly, the breach also revealed plain text passwords for all compromised accounts.
