PSX-Scene Data Breach (2015)

The Sony Playstation community's hub, PSX-Scene, encountered a major data security breach around February 2015. Over 340k members of this vBulletin forum found their accounts exposed. Disturbingly, not only were IP addresses made public, but passwords, stored as salted hashes, were also at risk due to a weak cryptographic implementation. This vulnerability allowed for a large portion of these passwords to be swiftly decrypted. Exposed data: Email addresses, IP addresses, Passwords, Usernames.
