InstantCheckmate Data Breach (2019)

Instant Checkmate, a subscription-based background check service, suffered a data breach when hackers leaked a 2019 backup database containing the information of millions of customers. The breach affected approximately 11.95 million Instant Checkmate customers who used the service up to April 16, 2019. The leaked data includes email addresses, hashed passwords, names, and phone numbers.
