Imgur, an image-hosting site and meme social network, recently disclosed a security breach that occurred in 2014. Approximately 1.7 million user accounts were compromised, with email addresses and passwords being affected. However, no personally-identifying information (PII) such as real names, addresses, or phone numbers was compromised. The breach was brought to Imgur's attention on November 23, when a security researcher contacted them with the stolen data.
