Elance Data Breach (2008)

Elance, a staffing platform, was compromised in a data breach in 2009, although details of the breach weren't disclosed until eight years later. The incident affected 1.3 million accounts, with exposed data comprising usernames, salted SHA1 passwords (which are relatively hard to decrypt), first and last names, addresses, and phone numbers.
