In 2021, ClearVoice suffered a data breach, which exposed the personal information of its users from 2015, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and hashed passwords exposing 15 million users. ClearVoice discovered the breach when a security researcher found the stolen data being sold on a hacker forum.
