Bolt Data Breach (2017)

The file-sharing site Bolt suffered a data breach around March, which led to the exposure of approximately 955,000 user accounts. The breached data included salted MD5 hashed passwords. Despite the use of salting, which is a method used to enhance the security of hashed passwords, the breach was successful.
