Apollo, a sales intelligence firm, suffered a major data breach in August 2018, exposing 212 million contact listings and nine billion data points related to companies. The breach included publicly available data, as well as some client-imported data, raising concerns about the risks of data aggregation. The exposed data contained extensive personal information, such as names, email addresses, and company details.
