AhaShare Data Breach (2013)

AhaShare.com, a torrent site, experienced a data breach in May 2013 that resulted in the public exposure of over 180,000 user accounts. The breach included various personal information of registered users, and notably, despite assurances of not distributing personally identifiable information, the site inadvertently leaked the IP addresses linked to the registered accounts.
