University of Texas, Permian Basin Data Breach (2018)

A recently discovered data breach of the UTPB student enrollment problem may have exposed sensitive information of users. According to the university, the issue was first discovered by a user on May 25 and reported to the IT department on May 29. While information such as names, dates of birth, mailing addresses and social security numbers could have been viewed by an unauthorized user, the school's investigation showed none of the information has been used or removed.
