Montreal Police Service Data Breach (2012)

A former sergeant-detective with the Montreal police who specialized in fighting biker gangs has been arrested for allegedly selling information on open police cases to the Hells Angels. The investigation demonstrated that he had transmitted pertinent information to organized crime figures in relation to ongoing investigations in return for some amounts of money.
