Hamilton County Clerk of Courts Data Breach (2009)

Identity thieves used a Hamilton County website to steal the Social Security numbers and other person al data of hundreds of Ohio residents, federal authorities said. Over 1.3 million records such as tax documents, medical records and bank account numbers were automatically posted on the Web si te if they were part of a criminal or civil case, land dispute, tax lien or traffic ticket.
