Fleetpro, Inc. Data Breach (2013)

This letter is to provide notification of breach of security to Utility Construction Services Inc. (Utility) regarding suspected unauthorized credit card use per Maryland Commercial Law 14 - 3504. (1) Based on a call to Fleetpro from Utility regarding a n apparent unauthorized use of a Utility credit card, Fleetpro Inc conducted an internal investigation. During the investigation we requested Utility to advise us of any other unauthorized CC usage suspected for other CC's in the past. The investigation f ound that two credit card numbers security was likely breached while in possession of Fleetpro. In each instance a Utility employee provided credit card info via email for payment of services rendered by Fleetpro Inc., and the card numbers were compromise d and used for unauthorized purposes.
