"Farmers Insurance has published a notice to customers after a recent data hack resulted in the breach of personal addresses, names, driver’s license numbers and Social Security information. On May 30, 2025, a third-party vendor alerted Farmers Insurance of suspicious activity in one of the vendor’s databases that held Farmers Insurance customer information, according to a disclosure from the company. Farmers Insurance determined after an investigation the following types of personal information were in the database and accessed by an unauthorized actor: name, address, date of birth, driver’s license number, and/or last four digits of Social Security numbers. The company started sending notices to customers who were impacted on Aug. 22."
