Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) Data Breach (2018)

On Friday 13 July, a BCNA staff member opened a file attachment to an email that appeared to be from a known contact. BCNA now believes this was not a legitimate email, but a phishing email from an external party. The possible data breach involves access to email addresses for an unknown number of contacts and previous email recipients of the staff member by an unauthorised person/s.
